Sherwood Aviation is pleased to announce the launch of a revolutionary Portable APU Tester, "PAPUT", engineered to simplify on-wing APU Testing and Troubleshooting with full Data Acquisition Capabilities.
Developed and manufactured at Sherwood Aviation's facility, this new product virtually brings the test cell to the aircraft in an ultra-portable and lightweight case that weighs roughly one third of the older, cumbersome designs. With minimal training, the fully digital, ruggedized system can be connected and ready for troubleshooting or recording APU performance in minutes, while reducing environmental impact. The user-friendly touchscreen display is fully backlit for ease of viewing in all lighting and weather conditions.
This proven system has been developed with years of experience and technologies from Sherwood Aviation's Engineering Team and in-house Gas Turbine Engine/Auxiliary Power Unit Test Cell. Designed for the need of troubleshooting, comprehensive customer support, and ability to trend APU performance, Sherwood Aviation is now manufacturing the PAPUT System to support operators around the globe. With the ability to accurately monitor in real-time, record critical engine parameters and email APU runs to an off-site engineer, the PAPUT has proven to extend the on-wing life of the APU by reducing unnecessary repair costs and potential unscheduled removal and replacement of the engine.
