Connecting with Curriculum Specialist Carol Sturgess
Last weekend we reconnected with family friends Dave and Carol Sturgess and had a wonderful time at their ranch in Placerville, CA. Carol has taught in public, private and homeschool settings and has a heart to help children in challenging circumstances find a way to graduate. Her passion is to bring Christian American History alive with illustrations, projects, examples and stories. It was special to pray with Carol for Shiloh United School and plan to make the curriculum alive with practical learning experiences for the children.

Abeka Book Curriculum a solid Foundation based on the Bible
For over 45 years Dr. Arlin and Beka Horton's abeka curriculum has been strategic in educating children from a Christ-centered perspective. We are excited to use abeka curriculum in our classrooms and bring the material alive with real world applications so students can learn truth from the truth of the Bible. As King David said in Psalm 36:
"For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. " Psalm 36:9

An Encouraging Note From the Office
And I will cause the captives of Judah and the captives of Israel to return, and will rebuild those places as at the first. Jeremiah 33:7

The Lord has been showing me how many on the Peninsula have been taken captive by the worldly thinking of godless society. In fact, the pervasive worldly agenda all around us affects us all if we are not alert. Shiloh United School is not just a “safe zone” where the walls are built high in defensive fashion, but, on the contrary, it is a place where children are built on the foundation on Christ and are freed to think, serve, love and bring the Prince of Peace to their families and community.

Everywhere they go our students are trained to mend the moral fabric of our society that has been torn down, and free those that have been taken captive by the deceptions of our day.

Serve, love and bring Peace!
