The areas we need help in are; cleaning camp sites and sleeping shelters in White Pine, Sawmill, and Skyway; cleaning the shower houses; and cleaning up the beach area, bird sanctuary and archery range.

As an incentive, the council is offering a free one night stay in one of our brand new yurts for every service project your troop helps with.  Available dates are May 19-21 and May 26-29.

Spark Events inspire girls to dream big when they think about their future, and bring girls together with STEM professionals in their work spaces. Each event will introduce girls to a professional field, and will provide an opportunity to learn by doing an engaging activity similar to what the professionals do on a regular basis. There will also be time to ask questions and get a feel for whether this kind of career would be a good fit. Girls will receive a fun Spark patch at the event.

Camp Season is Finally Here!!!
Troops are an essential part of the Girl Scout experience and helping create healthy relationships for girls.

Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan is offering numerous ways to help you take a step outside your comfort zone (whether you're a girl or adult) at camp with support from knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Coming to camp as a troop allows the girls to become connected to the outdoors along with their troop friends. Experiencing new things together creates long term bonds between campers just like regular troop meetings do.

This year troop programs are bigger, bolder and give girls more options to explore their interests.

Check out programs like Trail Masters, Girl Power and Jamboree: Wild about Nature as a troop!

Product Sales

2017 Cookie Sale: Thank you all for a GREAT cookie season!

Council and Troop Gift of Caring:   Over 1,100 cases of cookies were donated this 2017 Cookie season helping numerous "Home Town Hero's". Great Job to all the girls and Outstanding Leadership who helped make this possible.

Bank Sweep: The banks sweeps are completed now with the exception of a few small number of troops we are still working with to reconcile.

Outstanding Money Reports: If your troop has turned in one or more of these forms and have now collected the delinquent amount, please contact Product Sales right away. We are no longer sweeping troop accounts this season so it is the troops responsibility to bring a check or money order to the council to submit the payment for monies due to the council.

Girl Rewards:   All girl rewards have arrived to the SUPSM. Please contact you SUPSM for pick-up times. Some SUPSM's have had a few missing patches so they will be re-shipped out the first week of May. Please make sure the awards are distributed to girls right away. Girls do not receive rewards if all money due for cookie sales has not been collected. These rewards should be brought back to council to hold until the delinquent situation is resolved.

ONLINE Cookie Dough!  Girls chose whether they would like to use cookie dough online or still receive a cookie dough card for our council shops, registration fees and camps. Online Cookie Dough may only be used to purchase items from the GSUSA shops, and may not  be used for council events or registration.

All girls in the troop did not have to agree on the same method; some may chose online while others may want the card. However, once the choice is made, it can not be reversed. If a choice was not selected in the ebudde system, a Cookie Dough card was the default method of reward. If multiple choices were made in the ebudde system, the higher amount selection was given. GSUSA contacted  the girls who choose the online option with a code to use at the GSUSA Shop site but if an email was not listed in our system, the Leaders email was the default email.  We do have a master list at council so please  contact us  with any questions or concerns.

Hard Card Cookie Dough was distributed to the SUPSM's and should be passed on to the girls right away so that they may use this for payment of Early Bird and on-time registrations. Cookie Dough may only be used for girl registrations.

Fall Product Sales: We still have a small amount of Fall Product left. If interested, please visit the Council Shops through the month of May. There is no discount on Fall Product items.
