My thoughts

I have noticed some before and afters on the internet and I even posted one of my own.  I think the reason we are seeing more of this is it is important for you to see there are more reasons to hire a professional photographer besides getting a clean image.  You can get one pretty close with the consumer cameras that they have out these days. But the professional knows the technical aspects of their camera, the lighting and the composition as well as the things to do to an image after it is created to take it to another level. They are taken by professionals that know what a color space is and what white balance means. They are printed by a pro lab that uses pro products and papers so that your portraits last.
I could write for days on what it takes to get a technically correct image and what can be done afterward, but I won't repeat what you have probably seen over and over. Each pro has their own style or should have, and that is what you look for when you are choosing one to fit your needs.  You decide if you want your children's portraits on your walls or on a flash drive/DVD and then printed by a non pro that pushes the auto buttons on a machine. You decide if you want to hire someone because of price or experience or education.
Then there is the photographer themselves...are they courteous, professional, fun, reliable and appear that they really care about what they are doing? There is someone out there for every need and price point.
My point is to look for someone that will give you what you want and need. Portraits and the services that come with them are a luxury, but I have seen life pass by too quickly and unexpected things happen.  Go and get your portraits taken, by a pro or not a pro, totally your decision. It is important, It is necessary. It is a part of your life preserved in a tangible product that you will treasure more than you know someday if not immediately. I just want you to choose wisely and choose someone that will get you what you want. You and your family deserve it.
Daddy and Me
Dad..... it's your turn to come in and play a while with your children!  Hugs, giggles, rough housing....it is all up to you.  Bring in something that signifies what you do for a living and we can get that in your portrait with your little one(s).  Bring in the sports stuff and we can have some fun with that... or just spend some quality time with them and let me be the fly on the wall that gets those memories for you. The month of May will be Daddy and Me sessions.  You pay $50 to hold your spot, that goes toward your order and there is no minimum just like the Mommy and Me sessions.
Call the studio as soon as possible to schedule your appointment.. 309-698-7144
