Sidewalk Maintenance and Management:
A Roundtable Discussion
A CT ROAD SCHOLAR PROGRAM ELECTIVE WORKSHOP
Sidewalks are an important part of our transportation system and provide integral connections between people and those facilities that make our communities great: schools, parks, retail centers and municipal services.  Keeping sidewalk networks in good working order is imperative to the quality of life in a community but can be difficult due to weather, vegetation, winter operations and development.

This session will focus on the importance of managing and maintaining your sidewalk network and will provide some ideas on tools you can use to make your operations more efficient and keep your sidewalks in good repair.
Who Should Attend

This program is designed for all municipal highway officials, particularly those responsible for managing and maintaining sidewalk networks. Directors of Public Works, Highway Superintendents and Foremen are encouraged to attend.
Presenters:

Marty Maynard is the Risk Manager for the Town of Windsor and has over 25 years of experience in municipal risk management.
Joe Barbera, ARM  is the Risk Management Program Specialist at CIRMA and has over 10 years of experience working with Connecticut's municipalities on their risk management needs.
