St. Rose School
St. Rose Report for September 24, 2017
Dear St. Rose Families,

What a busy time of year! Be sure to review this newsletter carefully so you don't miss opportunities to volunteer and attend some great community events.

Conferences Information:

Conferences are just around the corner! We are moving to online conference sign-ups to save staff meeting time for professional development rather than conference scheduling.

Conference Dates:
Wednesday, October 4 - 1:00 -4:00
Thursday, October 5 - 1:00 - 5:00 & 6:00 - 8:00

Grades K - 4 have 20 minute conference sessions. Please start and end on time. Parents of students in K through 4 should check in with their homeroom teacher to find out if their child should attend the conference.

Middle school students must attend their conference. Middle School parents have the option of a 20 minute team conference (Wednesday or Thursday from 1:00 - 5:00) or parents can attend the round table session on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00. The round table sessions are for parents who have no concerns and just want to connect with a few teachers about their child's progress.

School Appeal Information:

We have begun planning our School Appeal titled "Join the Journey". We will kick-off our campaign with a thank-you brunch on October 8th to show our appreciation for all of our wonderful donors who have so generously supported us in the past. Please sign up to volunteer for this event by clicking on the school appeal button in the article below. Families and students who received scholarship funds this year are strongly encouraged to support with this event.

Yours in Christ always,

You can check out the information at the link below for more information.
PTO Meeting

Our PTO leaders would like to invite all parents and families to join us for our first PTO meeting on Sunday, October 1 at 10:00 in the school library.

We will be planning one of our most exciting events, The Monster Mash. We will also be discussing our newest PTO committee, The Knights Booster Club. If you love Halloween or Sports please join the journey in making sports and our first family event of the year more fun.

Free day care will be provided and those in attendance do earn share hours.

Thank You Brunch
October 8, 2017

The school appeal is when we ask and thank our generous parish and community donors for "Joining the Journey" to create Christ-like disciples who serve their parish, community and world. You can sign up to serve, cook and bring breakfast dishes, or assist at Mass on this important weekend.

AUCTION STEERING COMMITTEE
September 29
8:15 a.m. at St. Rose School

Our Director of Marketing would like to host an initial, informal meeting for those people interested in helping to plan, organize and coordinate our fundraising efforts for our annual School Auction.

Interested volunteers should plan to attend an information session on September 29th at 8:15 in the Student Community Center of St. Rose School.

The goal is to create a tight-knit, focused group of individuals who aspire to a lofty goal for the auction this year. Previous auction experience is a plus!
JOG-A-THON
Friday, September 29th
1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
The Jog-a-thon is this Friday. This year's theme: "Kni ghts Co lor Run".

We could still use some volunteers and snack supplies donations. Don't forget that you get share hours for your time or expense. For those who have signed up to bring items, it would be beneficial to have them at the school by Thursday, September 28th. Please let me know if you can help with any of these items.
Thank you all so much!
