In these dog days of summer, Silky's is all about games! Between the Special Olympics, Angels Baseball, preseason NFL and college football, we're in sports heaven this August.

Angels Baseball:

It's TROUT Season!

July was an epic month for the Angels star center fielder. First he became the first player EVER to win the All-Star Game MVP twice. Then there was that game where he homered, made a diving (and scary) catch, stayed in and hit a GRAND SLAM right into the "Trout Net." With Mike Trout as hot as ever, the Angels are poised to make a run for the playoffs.

There's no stopping the Angels in August...mostly because they only have 2 days off! Before the month ends, they'll face the Indians and the White Sox at home and on the road. And t he pennant race is heating up, with the Angels just behind the Houston Astros.

Silky's helps Fountain Valley welcome Special Olympics Team

On July 21st, Silky's had a front row seat as the FV Police Department carried the Special Olympics Flame of Hope. As our city hosts Team Netherlands, we've never been prouder to call Fountain Valley home!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!

Summer is great, but at Silky's we are always excited when autumn brings football season. And with preseason NFL starting in August, now we get the best of both worlds!

Join us on August 9th when the Vikings face the Steelers in the Hall of Fame Game.

And have no fear, college football fans: NCAA Division 1 kicks off at the end of the month! Head over to Silky's on August 29th to watch the Bisons of North Dakota State battle Montana's Grizzlies.

It's always a happy month when we have an Irish band in the pub. So we are thrilled to welcome the Fenians back to the Silky's stage.

Luckily, you have all of August to practice your best dance moves and remember the lines to your favorite Irish songs. Get ready to stomp, clap, twirl and sing your heart out!
