Joe Kresoja was born in Indiana in 1971, just outside of Chicago. His family settled down later in Reno, Nevada where he spent his formative years. Early in his youth, he made the conscious decision between becoming a musician or an artist. Years later, he would move yet further west to study at the Art Institute of Seattle, cementing his chosen path.

 

Tactful color harmony, composition and mindful brushwork are the tools he uses to create evocative and atmospheric paintings. Accurately loose brushwork is something he continuously pushes himself to master. In the end, his desire, is that the awareness he brings to his paintings, sparks yours.
