Kiddush Sponsor

The Kiddush for Simchat Torah is sponsored by Michael Weinberger's family in honor of all the recent smachot, including Michael's recent marriage to Roxanne, as well as his parents' 41 wedding anniversary.  The Kiddush is also co-sponsored by an anonymous donor.

The candy for children on Simchat Torah is sponsored by Jenny and Naftali Sternlicht.  The candy is also sponsored by Cecilia Sacharov in commemoration of the yahrzeit of her father, z"l.

Unity Kabbalat Shabbat & Singles Kiddush Reception

Shir Hadash invites you to start the new year off right with a special Achdut Kabbalat Shabbat THIS Friday night.  Tepillot will be led by Elazar Waldman - who so inspired us during Neila this past Yom Kippur - and will take place together with our new neighbors, the Ohel Nechama Community, in their upstairs sanctuary.  A brief d'var Torah will be delivered by Rabbi Aaron Adler, the Rabbi of Ohel Nechama.

Following services, all singles are invited to our downstairs courtyard for a Kiddush reception.

Shabbat Mevorchim Unity Tephila

We continue with the theme of Achdut on Shabbat morning with a special Shabbat Mevorchim schedule.  Services begin at an earlier time -- 8:15 AM -- in order to allow us to doven together with Ohel Nechama in their upstairs sanctuary.  At 10:30 AM, all are invited to attend one of three distinct classes:

PARADISE NOW with Rabbi Dr. Aaron Adler (English - Social Hall)

GOOD AND EVIL with Rabbi Shlomo Dov Rosen (Hebrew - Sanctuary)

BEREISHIT IN THE ZOHAR with Dr. Biti Roi (Hebrew - Beit Midrash)

At 11 AM there will be a joint Kiddush for all.

[Shir Hadash's late minyan - which usually meets at 9:30 AM in the Beit Midrash - will meet for this Shabbat at 8:45 AM and finish by 10:30 AM in order to participate in the above classes and Kiddush.]

Beginning the week of October 26
