From a small village in Liberia - one of the world's roughest countries - to the world's biggest venue for independent film, Joshua is off to Park City for Slamdance! We couldn't be happier to announce this news! This kid gives an unbelievable performance that caught the eye of programmers who sifted through over 5,000 films. Todd Looby and Thomas Madden (LEFTY) are scheduled to be in Park City from January 20th thru 24th for at least one screening. We hope to see you there!
Read the write-up from the last screening in Bristol, UK: "'Son of None', by Todd Looby, takes a look into the life o Liberian war orphan Joshua. Situated within the confines of the Christian Liberia Mission, we are given an insight into the life of a boy who represents a thousand more. Timid and introvert with bursts of life breaking through, thisfilm provokes a myriad of emotions." - 16th Annual Brief Encounters International Film Fest.
Synopsis: "Son of None" is a short docudrama about Joshua, a seven year-old Liberian war orphan who is constantly disheveled, falling behind and failing at school. When the orphanage's goat goes missing, Joshua shirks relationships and responsibilities to comfort the one thing more vulnerable than he.

FiA Saint on Death Row
The timing is right for this film as the death penalty is questioned in Texas and may soon be abolished in Illinois.
A Harris County Judge has ordered a hearing on the Constitutionality of the death penalty after serious doubts have been raised about the guilt of two men who were recently executed. Harris County, TX sends more people to Death Row than 47 States. This was the county where Dominique Green was found guilty after a sham of a trial. To read more on the hearing: Click Here
Film Synopsis: Dominique Green was sentenced to die for a murder he denies committing. After meeting Desmond Tutu, he spread the healing message of truth and forgiveness up and down death row, but as his execution date approaches he is forced to practice what he preached.
Project Status: We are currently scripting, raising seed money and looking for producers. If you are interested in this project and would like to help out, please respond to this email.
Learn more about the book and author
"This book is a life-changer. Thomas Cahill has shown-through the extraordinary life of one man-that God works everywhere and can bring the most beautiful soul to maturity in even the most horrifying circumstances. If you read his story you will never forget Dominique Green, nor will you ever feel the same way about our courts, our prisons, and our criminal justice system." -Sister Helen Prejean, author of Dead Man Walking
