It is now Tuesday morning, March 27, A.D. 33. The disciples point to the withered fig tree that Jesus had cursed the day before. Jesus gives his disciples a simple lesson from it: Have faith in God. As Jesus enters the Temple Mount, crowds gather to hear him teach, and the chief priests, scribes, and elders waste no time in making their move. They will try to lay several traps to ensnare their adversary. Our scripture today will be the first of those traps.

Disciples Women are supporting the Church World Service Blanket Fund during the month of March.  For $10.00 you can give a blanket that can provide warmth and shelter, comfort and privacy, and healing and hope wherever God's people may need care.   Donations can be made with either cash or check. Please make your check out to Slash Christian Church and on the Memo line write Blanket Fund.

Regional Listening Conferences:
Please join the Regional By-Law Revision Team and The Regional Minister Search Team to discuss the next steps for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Virginia.   The agenda includes review of the proposed structural changes and By-Law revisions for the Region. Following that the Regional Search Team will present 
for discussion the Regional Profile used to recruit the next Regional Minister.

Easter Flowers

Again this year, we invite you to honor a loved one and beautify  our sanctuary for Easter. 
Daffodils, Hyacinths and Tulips are available for $13.00 per plant. Order forms are on the back table in the sanctuary. 
Forms and payment due Wednesday, March 14.

The 2018 Flower Chart is posted by the office. April 8 and May 6 are available. If you would like to purchase flowers please sign up on the chart, fill in an order form and return it to the office.
