Backpacks 2 Go Food Drive
This program i
s sponsored by our Franklin Regional School District community which includes our PTO, teachers, students and their families, and area friends. The program is coordinated by the school counselors and parent volunteers.
We provide a backpack filled with easy-to-prepare meals and snacks for weekends to our children.
This program was developed in response to ongoing student needs with no weekend access to the school breakfast and/or lunch program.
Each classroom is encouraged to fill a grocery bag during the food drive to help stock the pantry, which is located at Heritage! Gift cards to local grocery stores, cash donations or checks payable to HERITAGE PTO will also be helpful. More information will be coming home with your child in the coming weeks. Each grade will be assigned specific items to donate.

Call for Board Members
As a reminder, all Sloan PTO Board positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are expiring at the end of this school year. All positions are open for the next school year, and the transition period usually starts right after the voting meeting in May. If you are interested in learning more about what is involved in being a Board member, we encourage you to reach out to the person who is currently holding that position. Joining the Board is a great way to get involved and make a difference. This level of involvement certainly gives you an appreciation for the operational aspect of the school and district; it's rewarding, it's important, and it's even fun!
Becoming involved sooner rather than later will make for a much easier transition. Also check out sloanpto.com/about-us
