Backpacks to Go Food Drive was a Big Success!

A big thank you for the generous donations of food, time, cash/gift cards and support for our Food Drive We provided six deliveries of food to the pantry and stocked the shelves! An extra BIG thank you to Lori Henninger and Ferri's Shur Save for donating the brown paper bags for the collection. This food drive would not have been possible without the determination and support of Mrs. Wurzell and Mrs. Burns.

Two Thumbs Up for the Fifth Grade Musical, The Granny Awards

The Sloan LGI was host to three sold-out performances of a celebrity-studded awards show to recognize outstanding achievements in the fairy tale industry.  Appearances were made by Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, Cinderella and her stepsisters, the 3 little pigs, and Pinocchio to name a few.  Extra (student) security was on-hand for the controversial win for Best Hair by Prince Charming over Goldilocks and Rapunzel. The celeb host was Jack (and the beanstalk).  There were 3 commercial breaks that rival the Superbowl commercials, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work by the stage crew.

We would like to thank the academy (Mrs. Kylie Gierlach and Mrs. Jennifer Bayer) who made this dream a reality.  A round of applause for all of the students and parent volunteers who participated in this fun and creative Sloan tradition.   BRAVO!!!!
