Dance-A-Thon fundraising an Overwhelming Success!

Congratulations Sloan families on exceeding our goal of fundraising $17,000, by raising $ 19,539.21 and we still have parent/corporate gift matches coming in!! Watch your email for an update later this week for a Special Edition: Dance-A-Thon Wrap Up e-news.

Picture Retake Day is November 22ns

If you would like to have your child's picture retaken, 
your child should bring their original picture packet with them on retake day. 

Let it Snow(man)

Calling all painters!  Our fall Crafty Shack After School session had a great turnout with 54 students participating! We will be back on Thursday, December 1 from 3:45-4:45 pm to paint a snowman mug. The mug will be fired and glazed at the Crafty Shack and returned to your students in time to give it as a holiday gift, or display as a cherished keepsake.

To register your child, please complete and return  the form found hereForms and money ($12.00 per child) MUST be returned by Friday, November 18th . No forms will be accepted after this date. We will also need 6 volunteers to help the students paint, sign children in/out of the activity, and help clean up.  If you are able to help, please indicate that on your child's permission slip.

Please note that I.D.'s will need to be shown at the time of pickup and that parents/guardians should enter the school through the entrance by the Art Room.

Call for Board Members for 2017-2018 School Year

As a reminder, all Sloan PTO Board positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer will be vacant for next school year as the current 2 year terms are ending. If you are interested in learning more about what is involved in being a Board member, we encourage you to reach out to the person who is currently holding that position to learn more.   Joining the Board is a great way to get involved and make a difference. It's rewarding, it's important, it's even fun! 
Becoming involved sooner rather than later will make for an easier transition. Also check out

Josh and Gab Assembly was a Rockin' Good Time

The Josh & Gab Show returned to Sloan for two performances on  September 28th.  Josh & Gab brought their rock n' roll, hip-hop, comedy show with an anti-bullying message.  Sloan students were energized and sang familiar songs such as ' Nine O'clock Behind the Jack Rabbit".  Check out more about Josh & Gab at
