Algiers Night with the Pelicans | October 30
Algiers Economic Development Foundation (AEDF), the Algiers Neighborhood Presidents Council, and the New Orleans Pelicans are hosting "Algiers Night" for the Pelicans' Season Opener, October 30 - Pelicans vs. Pacers.

RTNO & Councilmember Palmer Team Up to Assist Residents in District "C"
This month, Kristin and staff teamed up with Rebuilding Together New Orleans (RTNO) and the Home Depot Foundation to support volunteers repairing repairing 8 houses for residents and families in Algiers and St. Roch.
Volunteers included members of the Krewe of Nyx, Algiers Kiwanis Club, Folgers, Entergy and many others!

NOLA for Life Day at Sampson Playground in St. Roch
On Saturday, October 12, Kristin joined Mayor Mitch Landrieu in NOLA for Life Day in the St. Roch neighborhood. Over 125 volunteers from the neighborhood and citywide came out to help!

Iberville Redevelopment Construction Begins On Monday, October 21, Councilmember Gisleson Palmer joined U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Shaun Donovan, Mayor Mitch Landrieu, state and local officials, and residents at the groundbreaking for the Iberville Redevelopment.
The finished construction project will have 880 units -- a combination of public housing, homes at market-rate and workforce apartments. The units will be on the Iberville's current housing site and in the surrounding neighborhood.

Councilmember Palmer Holds Committee on City Sanitation & Recycling Services
Today, as chair of the Council's Sanitation & Environmental Committee, Councilmember Gisleson Palmer requested a presentation from the City's Sanitation Services.
With members of the Administration, she discussed the renewed sanitation contracts, bin size, and recycling services.
