Smokin' Cobras this Thursday at Vincent Lugo Park
Experience Smokin' Cobras - and their 50s and 60s top rockin' hits - this Thursday at Vincent Lugo Park on August 9 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

In addition, don't forget to head out to Vincent Lugo Park on August 16 at 6:30 p.m. for one last concert and movie with a live performance by Mariachi Espectacular and a showing of Disney-Pixar's "Coco." Make sure to stop by Tepeyac On The Road and Nomad Ice Pops for some delicious treats.
After school programs return to San Gabriel
Community Services' after school program is returning to your child's elementary school this year.

Beginning on August 20, children in second through fifth grade can take part in traditional fall sports, homework assistance, arts, crafts and fun activities. In addition, the sports program is available for those in third grade through fifth grade. These programs will be held at Coolidge Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Washington Elementary and Wilson Elementary School.
Celebrate the end of summer with a luau for older adults
Join us as we say aloha to summer! Community Services, along with Healthcare Partners, will be hosting the annual End-of-Summer Luau and would like you to attend. This year's luau will begin at 11:00 am. on August 23 with fruit mock-tails, treats and island themed music.

Experience Jazz Nights with
Kiki Ebsen and the Jeff Colella quartet
Jazz Nights at the Playhouse concludes with a free concert on August 23 at 6:30 p.m. featuring vocalist Kiki Ebsen and the Jeff Colella quartet. Through the years, Kiki has received acclaim for her recordings of originals, standards and popular jazz songs.

American Songwriter magazine called her a "world class songwriter-performer with a polished vocal style."
San Gabriel Police to offer
Mandarin Community Academy class
To build stronger relationships with the community, the San Gabriel Police Department is offering its popular Community Academy in Mandarin. This exciting six-week course allows residents to get an authentic overview of law enforcement.

Led by Lieutenant Rene Lopez and Sergeant Rebecca Gomez, the course provides an overview of the criminal justice system, police department functions, local law, and children and family services, with insight from the men and women in uniform who serve the community.
