Recipe for Well-Behaved Kids
Being a parent is a challenge and a responsibility, but it is also the most rewarding experience you can have. As your child's first teacher, it is your responsibility to teach children what is and isn't acceptable behavior. (Come to our Teaching Right from Wrong class on March 11th.) Setting limits and providing logical consequences and consistency are three key ingredients in the recipe for well behaved kids.

Try This
Sensory Play
It's easy and very inexpensive to create opportunities for sensory play for your children. You could put snow, dried rice, beans or pasta in a large baking tray. In warmer weather, fill a tub with water and give kids sponges, squirt bottles, etc. Playing with clay also helps calm children as they use the muscles in their hands to relieve stress. Older children might enjoy knitting or crocheting. And how about that bubble wrap?
