Slow Food Philadelphia

Slow Food is a non-profit member supported International movement, founded in 1989 to counter the rise of fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people's dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world.

Snail of Approval is a work in progress and is in no way the ultimate food guide.  There are many places that deserve our recognition, but we hope to keep it organic, manageable, and concise.  This program has been used by other chapters in the country to endorse specific food related businesses that we feel confident in listing on our website for you to make good choices.  We hope you will come out and enjoy our evening of fabulous food and entertainment at a cost that we felt was reasonable and affordable and through your generosity hope to raise money for both International and local programs that Slow Food supports.
