A lot has changed in 50 years, but at Ross Elementary, one thing has stayed the same: the love for its students.
On September 29, hundreds of current and former students, teachers and other faculty members gathered to celebrate their beloved school. The ceremony highlighted the achievements of the campus and its students.
The icing on the (birthday) cake was the presentation of a 500-pound roadrunner statue named Rocky, hand-crafted by Houston artist Johnny Rojas. The statue will be on display to commemorate the the school's 50th birthday.
