The ALL has added a new course and a new series. Learn more about dosing and other toxicology principles in " Toxicology: the Basics." This is the first course in a planned three-part series. August Webinar Tackles Mouse Euthanasia

Plan to attend the Tuesday, August 23 webinar, " Mouse Euthanasia: A Critical Review of Current Practice," from 12:00-1:30 p.m. CT. Mouse euthanasia with carbon dioxide remains a hot topic and generated much discussion recently on Compmed. Do the data support the euthanasia guidelines for administering CO2? What rate of administration is most humane? What about other common methods for euthanasia of mice - are these more humane? Better for research purposes? Dr. Greg Boivin, DVM, MS, MBA, DACLAM, will sum up the research he and others have conducted in this area, focusing mainly on CO2 euthanasia and comparing it to other common methods. Attendees will get a good grasp of the issues and an understanding of the questions which remain to be answered.
