Important Community Message Regarding  School Closing Phone Call Issues

Jan. 3 , 2018

Jan. 3, 2018

Dear Burlington Township Families:

We would like to extend an apology to our families for the late phone call that went out tonight to announce the snow day for Thursday, Jan. 4.  We experienced technical difficulties with the system and some calls did not go through to all of the intended recipients.  The District uses an outside vendor for our emergency calling system and they recently performed an update to the program.  We will be working with them to address this problem we experienced tonight.  We had to revert to our older system to ensure that families were alerted of the status of schools.  It was important to us to ensure that all of our families were made aware as soon as possible that schools would be closed tomorrow.  The system has been tested several times and we are unsure why the glitch occurred this evening.  We thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to address this issue.

Be safe and enjoy the snow day tomorrow.
