End of Year
Giving Tzedakah
Donations to TIS
The new tax law makes a number of changes for next year. Although charitable deductions are not slated to change, other deductions may. Therefore, after consulting your tax advisor you may find it useful to increase your 2017 deductions by making further charitable contributions before the end of the year.

As 2017 draws to a close, please keep Tifereth Israel in mind when planning your end-of-year charitable giving while benefiting from tax deductibility in 2017.

If you complete your T'rumah payment for the year by December 31, you can take advantage of the deduction provisions in the 2017 tax code.

Also, if you wish, we would be happy to accept your 2018/2019 T'rumah payment and credit it for next year. This may offer tax advantages; please check with your tax advisor. Of course, the money will be set aside for next year's budgetary needs, but you will get an immediate tax benefit.
Right now, the stock market is at a record high. No predictions on where it will be next year. A rising stock market provides a wonderful opportunity to gift appreciated stock to Tifereth Israel and benefit from favorable tax treatment.

Payments and donations may be made online , by calling the office (619-697-6001) with a credit or debit card, or by mailing a check.

We want to wish you and your family a very happy and health New Year. Thank you for being an important part of Tifereth Israel Synagogue.
