Happy Columbus Day! I hope you are enjoying the long weekend! I apologize that this newsletter is a week late, I was in Las Vegas last week at the Constant Contact OneCon Conference for their solution providers. It was amazing and I will share more on the blog at a later date! I have a ton of news and updates since I have been gone so let's get started!
2.) Which is perfect because the Virtual Reality Company
Oculus (owned by Facebook) announced they are teaming up with Samsung to release consumer
Gear VR in November. Translation:
Virtual Reality will now become part of your reality - for just $99.
3.) You can now record a video as part of your Facebook Profile Picture. This
Improved Mobile Profile Experience includes temporary profile pictures (on a timer) and improved public profile controls.

Reactions, an extension of the like button, are now in testing in Ireland and Spain. How you react to the content will determine which content you receive in your news feed.
5.) Verified Badges for Local Businesses are in testing. A gray check mark will distinguish the official page of your location. This is limited to physical locations but will be released to all businesses and organizations very soon. Learn how to verify your business page.
6.) Facebook Notes (for profile users) are more blog-like now with a cover photo and option to embed images.
7.) Facebook is taking the internet to another worldly level, with drones and satellites to deliver Free Internet to help educate and improve third world countries.
Major moves are happening over in the Twitter nest. This is possibly due to their
stock price dropping from $69 to $25 since they launched their IPO.
