Lights - Camera - Action
In the last  I discussed that video marketing is making a big impact on the social media world, with most of the platforms shifting their focus towards video marketing.  Guess what?  I have EVEN MORE video marketing updates for you with this newsletter.  Let's get started!

Facebook announced 2 video changes making it easier to upload and manage videos for Business Page Managers.  They   announced   a new video upload process and Video Library.   The improved upload tool includes:

1.)   Secret videos  only accessible via a direct URL.
2.)  Restrict your viewing audience by age and gender.
3.)  Set an expiration date for videos and retain insights data.
4.)  Publish video directly to the Videos Tab without posting to your News Feed or Timeline.
5.)  Allow / prohibit video embeds to third-party sites.
6.)  Add custom thumbnails to your video.
7.)  Label videos by category

With this push towards video marketing Facebook is sharing 5 Best Practices for Video Advertising.  They also have added a Video Ad Spotlight feature to their website.  Each month they will highlight videos creative over 9 industries.

YouTube is taking video advertising to the next level with 360 degree videos.  Brands can create  TrueView Ads that give the viewer an opportunity to hit an arrow on the screen to look around the advertisement.  To see an example, view the Coca Cola Ad  celebrating their 100th anniversary.  This only works in the Chrome browser or the YouTube App on Andriod and iOS mobile devices.   Learn more here
Instagram

In a simple   Twitter announcement  Instagram shared " Starting today, you can search people, places and hashtags on {the} web."  This new tool is easier to find with the new white background design

Pinning from your mobile device
has become even easier.  The latest app update allows you to add a "pin it" button directly to your phone.  If you find an article on the go, pin it and save it to read for later.
