 25 November 2014
Social Inclusion Week
22- 30 November, 2014

Social Inclusion Week has started with a huge range of events and if you've been following Facebook and Twitter you will have seen some of the photos coming through... certainly loads of fun being had!

Hastings Primary School students carol singing

These next three days are certainly not slowing down with events in most States. The Netball Victoria Roadshow, now in it's third year with SIW, is off to Maryborough today and Cobham on Wednesday with Geva Mentor and some of her fellow Melbourne Vixens players taking skills and activities sessions with local children, a Netball exhibition game and Q & A session.

In Corio, Victoria, there is a Seniors Cafe which is a Community Cafe with Music for Seniors of all ages. This Thursday musician Ron Ellis will be performing a medley of popular songs. You can enjoy freshly brewed coffee and cake while Ron plays guitar and sings... sounds good to us!

Queensland's, Musica - a non-auditioned Community Choir, are inviting locals to their Open Rehearsal, so if you've ever thought you might like to be part of a choir, but are just not sure, or you'd like to see a choir in rehearsal - then this is your opportunity to come along.

Ability Links in Newcastle are hosting a Free BBQ with entertainment, singing and Bocce, including the inaugural Ability Links Cup Bocce Tournament, although we're assured it's more about fun and participation than competition!

There's lots more happening around the country, below is listed the events for the next three days, we hope you can get a long to one in your community. On Thursday we'll have a list of the remaining days of SIW. And yes, you can still register your event. Head to socialinclusionweek.com.au or check out SIW on Facebook and Twitter. Join the conversation online using the hashtag #SIW14. And of course feel free to contact us at socialinclusionweek@gmail.com.
