Sol y Luna Films Releases  Somos Lengua,
A Film by Kyzza Terrazas, on TVOD November 21st

New York, NY - November 21, 2017 - Sol y Luna Films is proud to announce that Kyzza Terrazas' documentary Somos Lengua, focusing on the underground hip-hop movement in Mexico, will become available on TVOD platforms on November 21, including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, and Google Play.

For three years, director Kyzza Terrazas has followed over thirty men and women from all over Mexico to explore the underground hip-hop movement growing across Latin America. Using rhythm and creative language, rappers such as Serko Fu, Rabia Rivera, Menuda Coincidencia, C-Kan, Ximbo, Tino El Pingüino, Aczino and Mike Díaz have been finding ways to express themselves with transformative words that help them survive in a country with so little opportunity.

Somos Lengua premiered at FICUNAM in 2016, where it won two awards, and has since screened in several other festivals. It is the second feature film by Kyzza Terrazas, whose previous credits include executive producing such films as Drama/Mex, Cochochi, Voy-a-explotar, She Doesn´t Want to Sleep Alone and Los adioses, and writing the screenplay for Deficit, directed by Gael García Bernal. His debut directorial feature, El lenguaje de los machetes, premiered in 2011 at the Critic's Week of the Venice Film Festival.
