Solar Eclipse
Solar Eclipse
On August 21, 2017 the sun, the moon, and the earth will align for a solar eclipse. All of North America will have a glimpse of this heavenly event but only those in 14 states will enjoy the total eclipse. We in Pennsylvania will observe a partial eclipse. Remember, it is dangerous to look at a solar eclipse. You need special viewing glasses to look at the sun.

NASA has an information website setup to explain the timing and offers viewing tips. Many community libraries are also offering viewing events and giving out free solar glasses. Find a library near you.
