Earlier this month on May 6th, we had the one year anniversary of the Traditional Latin Mass being offered here at Incarnation, and over the last year we have grown very much, accomplished very much, and continue to break new ground as a community.

As we move into our second year, we have new goals and ambitions for the Latin Mass community.  Many of you may know that we have been offering the Missa Cantata (Sung High Mass) for a number of months now, and the response from the community has been very positive. Continuing in that spirit, we now plan to celebrate the Missa Solemnis (Solemn High Mass), which is the full ceremonial form of the Tridentine Mass. In addition to singing the Mass parts - accompanied by the Schola - the Priest is assisted by a Deacon and a Subdeacon. It is truly the most expressive and the most beautiful experience of the Holy Sacrifice in the Extraordinary Form.

We invite you and your family and friends to come out to Incarnation parish on Sunday, May 19th at 4:30pm on the Feast of Pentecost to attend this most perfect prayer in this most elegant form of the Mass.  It promises to be an experience of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass that will surely touch your heart in a very special way.
