Summer at its Best!
"Come and see what God has done, His awesome deeds for mankind." - Psalm 66:5
Greetings!

God has been doing some amazing things at Solid Rock this summer, and I wanted to take a few moments to share that with you. I know you have been faithfully praying for the ministry, and God has been answering those prayers! There are so many awesome deeds to praise God for!

Before the start of camp, we were able to accomplish two big projects. We were able to get the gym floor installed and ready to use for the first day of camp. And it looks great! We were also able to get the maintenance building built, and now work is ongoing to finish the interior of the building.

It has been a hot and humid summer, and the staff and volunteers are being stretched both physically and spiritually as they serve. We have been able to see amazing growth in our staff and volunteers, even in these first few weeks. We have been having over 40 staff and volunteers attend the weekly Tuesday night Bible study, which is such an encouraging time worshiping, fellowshipping and learning together from God's Word.

Our enrollment has been up this year, even as other camps in town have been struggling and have even had to lay off some of their counselors due to low enrollment. That is such a testimony to God's provision to Solid Rock Day Camp.

Most importantly, the Word of God is working in the lives of campers. We know many seeds have been planted this summer and we are seeing campers place their faith in Jesus Christ! In fact, just yesterday, one of the sweetest girls, who is in one of our older girls groups, placed her faith in Jesus Christ. What made it perhaps even a little sweeter was that it was her counselor's birthday. What an amazing birthday present to receive!

Please continue to keep Solid Rock in your prayers this summer. Next week is our halfway week, so there is still a long summer ahead of us, but a lot of opportunities to minister. You can especially be praying for today, which is our annual Family Day, when we will have over 200 campers and parents at camp to participate in camp activities, eat food, and most importantly, hear the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Blessings,
Bonnie McQuade
