Performance Preparation Masterclass Opportunity  with Dr. Stacey Mastrian soprano

For singers preparing for Solo & Ensemble, NATS 
student auditions, and more - work with a master 
voice teacher with  over 20 years of experience

Improve pronunciation, articulation, diction, and expression
Saturday, January 30 @ 10:30 a.m. in Wallingford

Each participant should bring at least 1-2 fully prepared and memorized songs (with sheet music for the pianist). Dr. Mastrian will coach the student individually while also providing information that will benefit all 
 of the singers in attendance. Everyone will receive a video recording 
 of their performance and coaching session.

Fee is $50, includes the masterclass instruction, pianist, & recording. Cash or check are accepted & are due by the outset of each class.

Stacey Mastrian, a "sweet, shimmering soprano" (The Washington Post) who is "versatile and passionate" (Der Tagesspiegel), has performed at Teatro La Fenice (Venice), Konzerthaus (Berlin), Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur (MontreĢal) and St. Peter's (Vatican City) and has made acclaimed appearances in the U.S. as soloist with CityMusic Cleveland Chamber Orchestra, as Gilda in Rigoletto with the Summer Opera Theatre Company, as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with the Washington Savoyards, and in countless recitals. As a Young Artist with Opera Lafayette, she has performed at the Kennedy Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center, and last December she made her debut with the Chamber Orchestra of New York at Carnegie Hall as winner of The Respighi Prize.

Dr. Mastrian has been a Fulbright Grantee and Beebe Fellow and awarded prizes from such organizations as The American Bach Society, National Italian American Foundation, Shoshana Foundation (Richard F. Gold Career Grant), and Vocal Arts DC.

With over twenty years of teaching experience, including ten years at prestigious institutions such as American University, the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College, the Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland Baltimore County and College Park, she now maintains a private studio in Wallingford in Seattle.
