Some things to Celebrate in February...
National Canned Food Month
Yes... that really is a thing. This is good time to think of frequent guests of local food pantries. Food Pantries tend to get flooded with food donations between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but by February... the shelves tend to get a little sparse. Pick up some canned foods today and make a delivery as a family.
Visiting someone who is shut-in and not able to get out and about can make such a positive impact on that persons life.
February 11th is National Shut-In Visitation day. It's the perfect time to take the the kids to visit with an elderly friend, family member or neighbor. Or perhaps visit an area nursing home. Members of our Ambassador's Club will be visiting Ft. Washington Estates this month to spend some time with the residents.
National Dog Biscuit Day
February 23rd is National Dog Biscuit Day!
Bake a batch of yummy biscuits for some
four-legged friends. Deliver them to a local
animal shelter or rescue. Or... sell the biscuits
and donate the money to your favorite animal charity.
Our MLK Sock Roll Challenge exceeded our expectations. Over 6,000 sock rolls are being delivered to those in need in Montgomery, Bucks and Philadelphia counties as well as Florida, Maryland and New Jersey! Wow!
Fun fact: Over 1,600 students participated in the challenge! Now that's impressive! #mlksockrollchallenge
Thursday April 26th is 'Take Your Child to Work Day'. Many companies incorporate a community service segment into the day for the children.
