February 2016 President's message

Dear Friends,

My hearty thanks to all who joined us at the Annual Meeting and State of the Industry on January 12th, at Mission Hills Country Club. A stellar group of renowned broadcast journalists held both informative and spirited panel discussions hosted by Karen Devine. My sincere gratitude goes to Karen, Brooke Beare, Sandie Newton and Janet Zappala.

In addition we heard from Jan Maguire, Greater Palm Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau; Kate Anderson, Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians; Mary Jo Ginther, Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism and PS Film Friendly; Bettina Breckenfeld from the Riverside Film Commission. We also heard from Sheri Davis, Greater Palm Springs Film Alliance & Film Office regarding Valley-wide collaborations in bringing more film and television to our Community.

Mark your calendars for February 28, 2016, and join us for one heck of an eleg
ant event!  Special thanks to Fred Fern, Managing Partner of The Shops on El Paseo, as he and The Jones Group bring us this special event.  PSWIFT is the honored beneficiary with 50% of the ticket price going to educational outreach and BookPALS literacy program. These programs need your support. The first 15 people to send an email and purchase two $150 tickets will receive a $50 gift certificate to Wolfgang Puck Kitchen + Bar.

I look forward to seeing you on the Red Carpet!
My best,
Patti
