Someone Is PRAYING for you! 10/1/17
Someone is PRAYING for YOU! 10/1/17

1 John 1:7 (KJV)
7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Do YOU ever wake up tired????

I AWOKE (PRAISE THE LORD for AWAKENING again!) tired this morning although I had slept reasonably well-

Amanda "only" woke me up twice and "finally" final wake up at 5:30 AM-PRAISE THE LORD!!!

I was again doubly/triply BLESSED by a comment from a dear friend and old sermon from way back in 2014 on FaceBook.

The comment was this:

I'm thinking the man that works in the shadows sheds the most light..."

A man, I affectionately call "the dirt farmer" wrote the above words and it was his words that provoked this sermon today.

SELAH/THINK ABOUT his wise words:

I'm thinking the man that works in the shadows sheds the most light..."

Oftentimes/in fact, most of the time I have no idea what I am gonna' preach on until the very last minute-today was such a time.

I was VERY tempted to be lazy and use a sermon posted on FB this morning as a MEMORY-I included it today as an added BLESSING/BONUS at the end of this sermon!!

I PRAY YOU ARE DOUBLY BLESSED BY THESE WRITINGS TODAY!!!

1 John 1:7 (KJV)
7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

WE, who "WALK IN THE LIGHT," have no trouble of seeing and knowing where we are going!!

A few weeks ago, our power was knocked out by hurricane Irma and for several nights we had to rely on candlelight/flashlight/cell phone light to navigate around sofas and chairs in the still of the nights!!

IT WAS NO FUN and even frustrating!!!

Oftentimes, our greatest works are performed in the dark!!!

Matthew 6:6 (KJV)
6  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

``Character is what you are in the dark.``
-Dwight L. Moody.

Did not our Lord teach us:

Matthew 6:1-4 (KJV)
1  Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3  But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4  That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Today, please KNOW that God sees very well-even in the dark of night!!

SOMEONE IS PRAYING FOR YOU EVEN NOW!!!

My dear friend, whom I quoted above, had no idea I was PRAYING for he and his beloved wife last night!

Just as YOU have no idea who and when another is PRAYING/INTERCEDING on your behalf RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

I encourage you to take the time and continue reading the enclosed sermon from 2014!

Here is just one quote from the sermon below:

I SMILE when I am reminded of God of OLD Caleb! He was an "old" man also, at the ripe age of 85 when he declared:

"NOW THEREFORE GIVE ME THIS MOUNTAIN!"

TODAY, someone is PRAYING for YOU to reach YOUR mountaintop!!!!

GOD BLESS YOU!!!

THE Call! 10/1/14

Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Oftentimes, as life goes forward, "things passed away" flash briefly, exploding their painful darts of "those things which are behind."

A song, familiar place, inanimate object as trivial as a broken key chain, even a smell draws one heart to broken promises and failed dreams.

It is precisely at such times, one must remember "THE call."

The FUTURE beckons:

"REACHING FORTH UNTO THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE BEFORE!"

I well remember the broken feeling as I preached my last sermons to an increasingly empty congregation in my failed attempt to build a physical Church for God.

It was several years later when God WHISPERED softly to me, "Building that Church was never MY dream-it was yours!"

I SMILE when I am reminded of God of OLD Caleb! He was an "old" man also, at the ripe age of 85 when he declared:

"NOW THEREFORE GIVE ME THIS MOUNTAIN!":

Joshua 14:12 (KJV)
12  Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.

This mighty man of faith had waited, struggled and fought for 45 years to obtain "the CALL" that God had placed on his life.

Joshua 14:7 (KJV)
7  Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.

He and Joshua alone had espied out the "Promised Land" and they two alone brought back the word of faith!

God is not a God of HURRY!

2 Peter 3:8 (KJV)
8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

We ALL grow weary!!

Isaiah 40:30 (KJV)
30  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

BUT OUR BIBLE PROMISES, just as certainly as God's PROMISE was to Caleb:

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

WAIT UPON-a primitive root; to bind together (perhaps by twisting), i.e. collect; (figurtaive) to expect :- gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).
Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.

There's THAT word again-"TO EXPECT!"

One must always remember the woman "with an issue of blood" for 12 LONG years:

Luke 8:43 (KJV)
43  And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

Or the crippled man that suffered for 38 LONG years:

John 5:5 (KJV)
5  And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

Hath God made a PROMISE to you-"HATH GOD SAID....."

Today, "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"

GOD SAID IT, I BELIEVE IT, THAT SETTLES IT!!!

Pay no attention to the doubts and fears that plague US all and LISTEN NOT to the serpent:

Genesis 3:1 (KJV)
1  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

If YOU are 85 years or younger, EXPECT/DEMAND whatever mountain God HATH promised you!!!

Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)
19  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

You are NEVER too old for God to do "A NEW THING" in YOUR life!

AMEN AND AMEN!

GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!
