Dear Sophomore Parent/Guardian,
Lake Forest High School Sophomores are invited to participate in a CollegeBoard PSAT/NMSQT assessment on
Wednesday, October 10th
. Participating in this practice SAT assessment will provide students an authentic testing experience and effective feedback on their performance. Sophomore participation in this assessment is completely voluntary. All LFHS juniors are taking this assessment. The sophomore students that elect to take the PSAT/NMSQT will join the juniors being assessed.
Please note:
This PSAT/NMSQT assessment is the assessment used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship.
A special bus schedule for students who elect to take the test will be announced prior to the test date.
- Students should arrive at school by no later than 7:45 am
- The assessment starts at 8:00 am. All students should be in their seat and ready to begin the test at this time. Testing locations will be announced prior to the test date.
- Standard time testing will conclude at 12:45 pm. Students will eat lunch from 12:45-1:50 pm and then report to their 8th period class at 2:00 pm
- Students must bring their Student ID, #2 pencils with erasers, and an approved calculator. Cell phones and food are not allowed in the testing area. - All students Freshmen, Sophomores and Seniors not taking the test will follow their normal Wednesday schedule.
