Welcome to the New Bugle!

Hello Riverview Friends and Neighbours!

The leaves changing colours isn't the only thing happening in the community these days. See below for some exciting community events that are just around the corner!

As always, please continue to send us your announcements at [email protected] and we will continue to trumpet them to the community!

The Bugle will be sent biweekly on Tuesdays at 12PM. The deadline for materials to be included in them will be the preceding  Sunday.

Magic Lessons

The Society of Young Magicians is hosting magic lessons for kids aged 7-16 at the RVCC.

Riverview Rowdies Soccer

There are a few spots left in the Riverview, non-competitive recreational indoor soccer group. The Rowdies are looking for adult players (men over 35 and women over 32) to join the group!

Games are Thursday evenings from 8:30PM - 10:00PM and there are 22 games/season. 

Registration fee is $250.

Lord Roberts Fall Festival

On Saturday, October 3, Lord Roberts CC will be hosting a family friendly, neighbourhood party! The fall festival will feature all-day activities, music, games, and of course, a few drinks with friends and neighbours!

Schedule of events:

1:30PM - Bike auction
2:00PM - Community bike ride led by Councillor Jenny Gerbasi
3:00PM - Ultimate Frisbee workshop followed by a scrimmage at 3:30PM
4:00PM - Youth talent show
4:00PM - 12:00AM - Beer gardens with music by DJ Co-op, crokinole tournament and food trucks!

An Evening with Barbara Coloroso


Barbara is an internationally recognized speaker and author in the area of parenting, teaching, school discipline, non-violent conflict resolution and reconciliatory justice. She is the author of five international best sellers.

On Oct 14 from 7-9PM at Knox United Church, she will be discussing her latest book: The Bully, The Bullied, and The Not-So-Innocent Bystander

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the McNally at Grant Park Shopping Centre or by emailing [email protected]

Halloween Trivia Night at the RVCC!

On Oct 30th, the RVCC will be hosting it's first Halloween Trivia Night! Come have fun with your neighbours. 

Teams of 8. $125/team if registered by Oct 15th. $150 after that.

Cash bar. Bring your own snacks. Prizes for best costumes.
