Created by an intergenerational team of youth and adults under the leadership of local youth, the W.E.B. Du Bois Mural Project is excited to announce that the completed murals will be unveiled this Thursday, January 18 at a special event commemorating the 150th Birthday Anniversary of Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois

Thursday from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. 
will feature a 
ribbon cutting for the murals, as well as:

  • A tour of the new pole banners inspired by Du Bois, created by Multicultural BRIDGE and the University of Massachusetts Amherst Library
  • An open mic reading from the Du Bois Young Writers for Justice

DATE:   Thursday, January 18

TIME:   6PM, wine and cheese reception at BIFF Office,  7:15PM, screening at the Triplex Cinema

PRICE:   $15 for REEL Friends, $20 for Not-Yet REEL Friends includes wine and cheese reception and screening.  Please purchase tickets at the Triplex and bring to the BIFF office (upstairs 40 Railroad St) for entry.  Please remember to present your REEL Friends Membership Card when purchasing a ticket.

with Nancy Hall, Ward's Greenhouse Staff at Ward's Nursery

Get instruction on how to plan and plant your own miniature garden for yourself or as a gift. Ward's provides the plants, soil, and layering material. You supply a large 1 to 5 gallon, wide-mouth, clear glass jar to fill. Kids 10 and older can do one with an adult helper! Participants may wish to supply their own gloves.
This workshop sells out regularly so please pre-register EARLY!
Fee of $20 per project due by start of class.
