Happy New Year! I hope your holiday was relaxing and restorative and that you're ready for a strong start to 2017. Our team has been pouring energy into the opening of Southpaw  and we're now open for business at 926 12th ave, Lark's original home. The wood fire is blazing 11 am - 11 pm daily, turning out pizzas, roasted vegetables & more.

Southpaw is a casual spot with a walk-up counter and drinks on tap.   The New York Times reported on Southpaw's approach, a blend of counter and table service.  Step up to the counter and peruse the  menu, select your pie and any additional toppings that you desire. Wine-braised oxtail or crispy chicken skin? Burrata or Truffled Pecorino? Cocktails, wine & beer are all on tap. House made shrubs can be enjoyed with soda or with vodka and soda, your call. For dessert: soft-serve ice cream. We have two rotating flavors on offer, one traditional and one a bit adventurous (you can always compromise and order a twist). Oaxacan chocolate, alpine huckleberry & Meyer lemon are all on the horizon. We're happy to refill your glass while you settle into conversation or cheering on your favorite team. Southpaw has a big screen TV which will be broadcasting sports of all stripes (we take requests). It's playoff season, so plan to watch your most important games over lunch or dinner at Southpaw.

This week Slab Sandwiches + Pie is celebrating its second birthday! We've had a ton of fun dreaming up sandwich and slab pie recipes, and getting to know our regular daytime customers. Thanks for all of the support! This year we opened up additional seating for the Slab lunch crowd and have started serving beer and wine - welcome improvements. We're thrilled that the Cooking Channel is featuring Slab on Unique Sweets in the coming weeks. The episode will be airing through February, I hope that you can catch it.
