Miss Widner's News
Dear Parents, Students, Grandparents, and Staff,
It is so good to be back in action! I want to thank Mr. Slee for all of his hard work and extra time he gave in taking over for me while I was gone. I had a knee replacement surgery, and I am still going to therapy. I am not at 100% but I am getting there!
We had a popcorn sale today to raise funds for a great organization that makes really neat tops for folks in nursing homes as well as special needs tweens. Some of our middle school kids helped design the tops as well!. We will be presenting the check to Anthony Wayne Services on June 1 after the all school Mass. Our all school Mass collections in May have been going to this organization as well (Live On Goods).
Well, this is the time of the year where we announce some teacher replacements:
*Mr. Palmer- technology teacher- he is retiring after 40 years of dedicated service to Catholic education. We will be hiring a replacement soon.
*Mrs. Burchardt-4th grade- she is moving to St. Louis Academy to be closer to her home. Mrs. Kleber, our 3rd grade teacher, is moving up to 4th grade.
*Mrs. Laudeman- 3rd grade- she is moving to Indianapolis with her husband. We will be announcing replacements for Mrs. Kleber and Mrs. Laudeman soon.
*Mrs. Svitek- resource for grades 3-5- she is moving to Florida with her husband who has accepted a new job opportunity! Mrs. Patton, our 2nd grade teacher, will be taking her place. We will be looking for a replacement for Mrs. Patton soon.
Finally, I always have people ask me about teacher requests for their children. We typically do not take teacher requests; however, if you have a concern about a placement for your child, please email me at lwidner@seascsfw.org and let me know your concern. We will take it into consideration. Deadline for this is May 31st.

Have a wonderful week,
Miss Widner

Scrip Update
Hello, Pioneer families!  The end of the school year quickly approaches, and time has FLOWN!!

We would like to encourage everyone to stop by the SCRIP store this week for the graduates in your life!  Whether you have a kiddo in kindergarten, an 8 th grader, or a Senior preparing to move to the next phase, we have appropriate gifts for everyone.  Kids LOVE to get gift cards, and YOU get the tuition rebate!  Stop by the SCRIP office this Friday from 7am until noon!

Mad Anthony's Update.....Mad Anthony's now has a 15% rebate.  If you send in an old order form that says 20% rebate, you will only receive a 15% rebate as the vendor was running a holiday special when cards at 20% were purchased.   Moving forward, Mad Anthony's will give you 15%.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call 432-4001, ext. 339.

Just a reminder that we will have an open store on Thrusday, May 31 st from 7 until 11 am, and closed on Friday, June 1 to close out our books and distribute rebates.  You will get a letter in the mail confirming your rebate amount sometime in June.  Be assured that our school bookkeeper will have the amount to apply to your account if you have accrued more than $20 in rebates.

PLEASE, PLEASE..please remember, if you want your rebate applied to a different school, university or the Capital Campaign, please notify us this week.  Once the books are rolled over, we will not be able to change where your rebate goes.  Please feel free to email us at scrip@seascsfw.org with any changes to your rebate location.

Have a blessed week!  We look forward to seeing you all in the store this Friday!!

Venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive.  Anchor kids in the truth that Jesus carries them through life's storms.  Each day at Shipwrecked VBS, kids travel through rotations that reinforce the days and Bible Points and immerse them in new adventures.  One memorable Bible Point is reinforced throughout each station, each day - making it easy for them to apply the lessons long after VBS is over!

Student and adult volunteers are needed!
