Are you in favor of marriage between one man and one woman?
An unbelievable poll came out recently that said 30% of Iowans "just don't care much one way or the other" when asked whether they favored or opposed the recent Iowa Supreme Court opinion that allowed gay and lesbian couples to marry in Iowa. Ambivalent...complacent...indecisive are not usually words that characterize Iowans when it comes to the issue of marriage.
It's time to show Iowa we care about preserving
marriage between one man and one woman as designed by God!
TAKE ACTION!
Come to the marriage rally at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 15th
Wear RED to show your support.
Ask your church to put the marriage rally flier in their bulletins.
Call your friends and family to encourage them to
attend the rally on March 15th.
The marriage rally will feature Judge Roy Moore, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama, famous for refusing to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments from the state courthouse despite the orders to do so from a federal judge. He was later removed from his post for these actions.
The official rally on the west steps of the Capitol will begin at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 15th, but we encourage you to spend additional time that day meeting with your legislators.
Please join me, Judge Roy Moore, Chuck Hurley, Senator Kent Sorensen, and other concerned Iowans as we take a stand for what is right. See you at the Iowa State Capitol on March 15th!
Standing for Truth,
Bob Vander Plaats, President & CEO, The FAMiLY LEADER
