June was a busy month at ISM-New York! We held our Annual Member Meeting on June 7th
and the 34th Annual Conference - Procurement Risk Management - Balancing Change and Innovation on June 14th.
Annual Member Meeting
We had a great turn-out for the Annual Member Meeting at Pride Global's stunning Flight Deck location. We enjoyed a perfect mix of networking, great speeches and delicious food from JPO Catering, while enjoying the beautiful space and skyline views.
During the Member Meeting portion, we announced the following award recipients:
* The Davis - Kassa Scholarship -Scott Steingart
* J.H. Leonard Award -Shendora Pridgen, Executive Director - Global Head of Supplier Diversity at Morgan Stanley
* Supplier Diversity Company of the Year - Ines - Eden Santana and New York University
* Volunteer of the Year -Donna Giorgio, Vice President Sales - Duggal Visual Solutions
* The Institute of Supply Management's Award for Education and Learning Person of the Year - Jill Zunshine
We gave special thanks to Jim Martin, Stacy Ferrara, Lucia Pang and Jill Zunshine for their dedication and service on the ISM-New York Board and then we voted in our New Board of Directors for 2017-2018: Melissa Wahl, Melissa Drew, Tandra Davis,
Ines Eden-Santana, Issac Fang, Beatriz Lozillon, Juan Moreira and Ed Sanders.
We also announced the decision to have The Berman Group manage ISM-New York's operations effective starting July 1st. We thanked Julienne Ryan for her hard work, dedication and service over the past two years. We wished her the best as she transitions and leaves her role as ISM-New York Executive Director on June 30th.
ISM-New York's 34th Annual Conference - Balancing Change and Innovation
We held ISM-New York's Conference at the New York Executive Conference Center location. We had a record turn-out for this event that was attended by a diverse cross section of our members. Once again I want to give special thanks and recognition to our speakers: Greg Iaquinto from Dun & Bradstreet, Kim-Berney Bourke from Bloomberg, Jim Kelly JV Kelly, LLC, Jim Martin from MUFG and Karla Robertson from Shifting Gears for their informative presentations.
