Christopher Cross & Little River Band
Saturday, 8pm, Luhrs Performing Arts Center

Christopher Cross and Little River Band are teaming up for a night of sing-along hits that will bring back familiar memories of the eighties. His self-titled debut album with the lead single "Ride Like the Wind" rocketed to the #2 spot and the massive success of the second single "Sailing" made Cross a superstar. In the wake of two more Top 20 hits, "Never Be the Same" and "Say You'll Be Mine," he walked off with an unprecedented and record-setting five Grammys in 1981. Additional hits followed including "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)," "Think of Laura," and "All Right."

Joining Christopher Cross for this special evening is Little River Band, a band formed in Melbourne, Australia in the '70s. LRB was originally a blend of musicians who had enjoyed success in other Australian acts and had a goal of achieving airplay on American radio. They hit their mark with good song writing, powerful vocals, and guitar harmonies, claiming their place as one of the great vocal bands of the '70s and '80s with songs like "Reminiscing," "Lady," "Cool Change," and "Lonesome Loser," to name a few.
Don't miss this opportunity to see two bands that helped shape the sound of the '80s on the same stage in the same exciting evening!
