Exploring the Gender Revolution
Film and Panel Discussion

Sunday, October 15 th  at 3:00 p.m.

An hour-long excerpt of the film Gender Revolution , produced by award-winning producer and host Katie Couric, will be shown followed by discussion with a
distinguished panel. The film explores the rapidly evolving complexities of gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation. How do children know with certainty that they are different from the gender they were assigned at birth? What are the biological underpinnings? We also learn from sex and gender experts, trans men and women and college students whose identities go beyond binary gender roles.

Panelists:
Brit Cervantes is a transmasculine person of color, advocate for the transgender community health.

Miliana Singh is a trans woman of color, MAC makeup artist, actress, model and activist.

Dr. Michele McCormick is a clinical psychologist and couples therapist whose research in gender and sex-role stereotypes has informed her own personal and professional gender journey.

Dr. Heath Adam Ackley  is currently Director of Training and Curriculum at Trans Lifeline and an intersex activist.

Dr. Priya J. Shah is a cisgender parent of a transgender daughter and an adjunct professor of Gender Studies.
