Happy New Year! As we step into the Year of our Lord 2018 (MMXVIII). I would like to give you some questions to ponder.
Are you a Champion?
In the News this week Pete Carol, head coach of the Seattle Seahawks calls the team a Champion Team in the wake of their latest loss to Arizona Cardinals taking them out of the place off and season. Here is what Coach Pete knows… A Champion Team must believe they are champions before they ever begin wining games. The Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 9:24 “If we are going to run a race then run to win the prize.” There is something to living out this Faith in Christ as Champions of the Gospel. Live your life in Christ as one who will get the prize of Eternity!
What if you were the only follower of Christ in all your city?
Would your faith survive if your personal spiritual growth is determined by the church you go to? What would faith look like if you were the only one? How would you fulfill God’s plan for you? Jesus tells us in John 15 to be fruitful. What is fruitfulness? To be about His Kingdom and multiplying what Jesus has done in you into others. Jesus’ command in Matthew 28 is to “make disciples.” You have been given access to the heavenly realms in our freedom in Christ. Why wouldn’t we access that on a daily basis and why wouldn’t we want others to discover that same access and freedom?
What does your faith bring you too in 2018?
You might say you believe, but I would ask simply how do those around you know that you believe? As you look at what this year holds for you consider what you will produce. Will 2018 be a year of making yourself more comfortable and acquiring for yourself or will you measure your success by the spiritual influence you have on those around you.
My prayer for you is simply this…that you become more available and willing to step into the anointed mantle of His business, partnering with what He is doing and seeing the supernatural and miraculous unfold around you. My hope is that you will become available by becoming free in your finances, relationships, past, phobias and addictions.
