Please join us on Monday, April 16th as we host an evening with Aldo Vacca, the uncompromising, famously meticulous mind behind the wines of Produttori del Barbaresco. Founded in 1958 as a cooperative, 'Produttori' has a virtually unbroken tradition of superior quality in a region already known for excellence. With 38 growers contributing under the Produttori banner, Aldo produces bottlings from nine of the most hallowed cru sites in the Barbaresco zone. Perhaps most intriguingly of all, he makes each wine in exactly the same way, allowing for transparency and the nuances of place to come to the fore.
We are honored to have Aldo in the restaurant-it's the first time we've had the opportunity to present a dinner featuring him and his remarkable wines-and we are pulling out all the stops. In addition to a five-course, Langhe-inspired menu designed by Chef Matt Molina, we will be pouring several flights (back to 1979!) of Aldo's magnificent Barbareschi, each designed around Pora, Moccagatta and Asili, three of our favorite sites. We'll also be sampling two vintages of the estate'ssuperb Normale bottling...fifteen wines in all!
It's sure to be an evening to remember, for the Nebbiolophile and the newcomer alike!
