SESSION DESCRIPTION & MENTORS  
RSVP today to reserve your seat at the table with an industry veteran and peers to discuss career and professional development topics that are important to you.  You will be pre-assigned to a small peer group roundtable.  Mentors will rotate among roundtables to allow each group to meet with multiple industry leaders.  This unique experience offers a significant amount of time for interaction and questions with some of the industry's best.  Our Speed Networking Roundtables event is designed to offer easy access to connect with peers and build strong relationships.
 
Marina Escobar
Vice President, Visual Technology Group
Marina Escobar

Marina Escobar, a 25-year media veteran, joined the senior leadership team of ESPN's Emerging Technology in March of 2008.  Her role as Senior Director of Creative Technology reflects a paradigm shift for ESPN by capitalizing on Marina's unique combination of design skills and deep understanding of data representation using high-end graphic software platforms to deliver innovation to their broadcasts.  Marina and her team are tasked with re-thinking and defining how ESPN achieves success, through new ideas and technologies.

Marina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with advanced studies in Graphic Design and Theatre Arts. She was honored as a nominee for WICT Technical Achievement Award. Marina is a member of NAMIC's Class X Executive Leadership Development Program. She has also been a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and is a scholarship recipient.  

Ray Guilbault
Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, NESN

Ray Guilbault
Ray Guilbault joined NESN in 2001 and has been an integral part of NESN's incredible growth over the past 15 years.  In addition to overseeing all of NESN's finance, production operations, human resources, information technology and administration functions, Guilbault also leads NESN's growing digital business which includes  NESN.com, the most visited regional sports network website in the country. 

Guilbault joined NESN after two years as Vice President and Controller of Medtronic AVE of Billerica, Massachusetts, where he supervised the accounting and information system functions of the 650 person site.  He holds a B.A. from Merrimack College and a M.B.A. in Finance from Bentley College.

Gina Iacomini

Gina Iacomini
Gina Iacomini has been with Cox Communications since 2004 serving in several roles including most recently Marketing Director for the East region supporting Field Channel marketing and Events/sponsorships. 
Prior to joining Cox, she served as Marketing Manager for RCN Boston.  A graduate of University of Massachusetts, Iacomini holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and an MBA from the Rhode Island University.   
 
Iacomini also recently served on the Executive board on the New England Chapter for Women in Cable Telecommunications and has been a WICT member for over 10 years. She has received numerous local, regional and national awards for her work with On Demand, Sales channel and Multi-cultural marketing.

Lauren LoFrisco is Executive Vice President, Distribution and Business Management for iN DEMAND focusing on the company's
 distribution sales, client service and public relations initiatives for Video On Demand, Pay-Per-View, and multi-platform services.
 
Ms. LoFrisco has an impressive track record leading product marketing, brand positioning, corporate sponsorships and client engagements, working as Group Vice President, Marketing for Time Warner Cable; Vice President of Marketing, Road Runner High Speed Online, and Distribution Account Director at HBO. 
 
Ms. LoFrisco is a graduate of CTAM's Cable Executive Management at Harvard Business School and WICT's esteemed Betsy Magness Executive Women's Leadership Program.
    
Sandy Weicher
Vice President of Customer Care, Comcast - Western New England Region

 
Sandy Weicher
Sandy Weicher  serves as Vice President of Customer Care for Comcast's Western New England Region, which serves customers in more than 300 communities in Connecticut, western Massachusetts, western New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. In this role, Weicher is responsible for delivering a positive experience to Comcast's customers across the region and oversees the operations of the company's regional call centers located in Enfield, Connecticut and South Burlington, Vermont.

A graduate of Chicago's DePaul University with a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Weicher is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and received the Greater Chicago chapter's Breaking the Mold and Mentoring awards.  She is also a graduate of WICT's Betsy Magness Leadership Institute and Comcast's Field Executive Boot Camp. 
 
                         
Jennifer Kirkwood 
Programming Chair, Connecticut Invention Convention Board of Directors

 
Jennifer  Kirkwood
Jennifer Kirkwood currently serves as the Strategy and Programming Chair for the Connecticut Invention Convention Board of Directors (CIC). The CIC provides Connecticut children with opportunities to develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills through invention and innovation classroom curricula and adjudicated competitions. These programs instill the creative spirit and entrepreneurship in students today and for the rest of their lives.
 
Most recently, Kirkwood was the Senior Director of Affiliate Business operations for the Disney and ESPN Media Networks.  She led pre/post-sale customer support impacting content distribution, affiliate partners and ESPN Fans nationwide. Her team was the central hub for internal and external affiliate communications; affiliate project management, technical assistance and contract compliance supporting 70+ products and services. Jennifer is an accomplished cross-functional team leader in large scale media distribution operations. 
 
As Senior Director, Production Operations for ESPN, Kirkwood led multilevel leadership teams who managed 500+ employees and 24/7 network and production control room operations. She was responsible for ESPN's network recovery plan which included the establishment of bi-coastal, alternate site master control facilities and the integration of those plans within the corporate business continuity initiative. 
 
Kirkwood is an active member of the Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) organization, having served on the New England Chapter Board of Directors as Treasurer, Vice President, President and Past-president. During her tenure, the Chapter received WICT's Chapter of the Year award for three consecutive years 2009-2011.  In 2011, she was named the Chapter President of the Year and served on the National Board of Directors in 2012. She is proud to be a mentor in the annual WICT New England mentor program and she is an alumna of WICT's prestigious Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, Class XXI.
 
Kirkwood graduated from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a Bachelor of Science degree in television, radio and film production and attended the Harvard Business School's Executive Management Program. She is a 10-year cyclist in the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge supporting the Dana Farber Institute's Jimmy Fund and she currently resides in Connecticut.
