American Sabor: Latinos in U.S Popular Music Exhibition
August 6 - October 26

American Sabor

Latino musicians have had a profound influence on traditional genres of music in the United States, including jazz, R&B, rock 'n' roll and hip hop. American Sabor: Latinos in U.S. Popular Music, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian, presents the musical contributions of U.S. Latinos from the 1940s to the present, exploring the social history and individual creativity that produced stars like Tito Puente, Ritchie Valens, Celia Cruz, Carlos Santana and Selena.

American Sabor was created by EMP Museum and the University of Washington. It was organized for travel by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. The exhibition, its national tour, and related programs are made possible by Ford Motor Company Fund.

Learn about and see photos of numerous musicians, musical styles, and the venues that made them popular. Listen to the music, dance to the rhythm and mix your own song at American Sabor.

Prost

Prost Wurstgrill & Bierhouse is a modern interpretation of the beer and sausage gastropub concept focusing on Gemutlichkeit, German for "coziness, peace of mind".

The menu revolves around the wurst and sausages, while Radeberger will provide the beers. Local Wynwood Brewery will also have a spot on the short-listed tap. With its own sausage machine in the kitchen, Prost home-makes custom wursts daily from the traditional pork and beef to the duck confit and venison.
