Spin Sessions

We have what we think to be one of the best turntables in the world in our store for awhile. Why not take advantage and get some after hours listening in? We have arranged a couple of Spin Sessions available to anyone who would like to attend. It will be a very laid back setting. These Spin Sessions are all about the music.

Doug Robinson, the author of our "10 Albums You Should Own on Vinyl" series, will host our first ever Spin Session (April 30 from 6-7PM). Doug's musical passion and interesting narrative for each cut played makes for a very gratifying musical experience. He will be playing some cuts from the list as well as some others that bring just as much to the table.

Be sure to join us for a very unique spin session featuring local musician Matt Whipkey. Enjoy free drinks and conversation with Matt about the inspirations and recording process for his latest album "Underwater," as well as some in-depth listening. Once again, spin sessions are all about the music and this session is designed to bring you even deeper into the music. Visit Matt's website (www.mattwhipkey.com) to preview "Underwater" as well as his other works.

Turntable Event Report
Our turntable event was a great success. 50 to 60 people attended. People were amazed at how good the sound was on the Altair system using the Air Force turntables. Many commented that it was by far the best analog they had ever heard.

"Yesterday was truly over the top! I had been under the impression that I had a good analog system, and it's not bad, but not even close to the Air Force setups... I will survive, but with loss of innocence..."

               - Doug R.

"The equipment setup, the demo, and most importantly the MUSIC was the best I've ever heard from an analog audio system. What a thrill it was to demo the AF1 and AF2, which are truly state of the art, along with other associated state of the art electronics, speakers and accessories. The musicality, emotion and stability of high end analog that many of us strive for in our own systems, was fully realized by the equipment and your setup last Thursday - well done and congratulations!"

                 - Corey J.

Brad O'Toole did a remarkable comparison of HRS isolation bases under the Acoustic Signature Barzetti turntable. Every high performance turntable must have an HRS Isolation base (starting at $1350).
