If it feels as though things are getting more stressful in the world, and that your personal life is being challenged by issues closer to home yet no less anxiety-producing, you may be a Sensitive - someone who picks up the vibes, the tone of the energy that permeates the world through your perspective - and you may be intuitive, recognizing that things are amiss, to say the least!

 

As someone who works with a wide variety of clients, I'm very aware of this extra level of stress in people's lives, and also of a general malaise that can be translated as struggling with low energy. If it's any comfort, here is a quote from a publication called Diamond Light: The Newsletter of the Aquarian Age Community, which is a Theosophical organization based (of all places) in the U.N., and which publication often shares the wisdom from the Perennial Philosophy:

 

"The gravity of our time has been indicated and prophesized as this descriptive passage indicates: 'People will lose trust in one another and will compete in doing evil. They will develop a persistent hatred of all except their own kind, and will sink into irresponsibility and depravity. Once falsehood and self-conceit apparently rule, then indeed there has arrived a great turning point in evolution... the stronger the thunder, the more powerful the lightening. All reiterate - the New Age arrives in storm and lightening.'" (author's bolding) 

 

I shared this quote with my metaphysical group this month because it gives a perspective on the overall era that we are living through - that we chose to incarnate into - and that has ultimately a happier ending than we might now expect. I've written about this era in a previous article back in May 2006 for Dell Horoscope, called Karmic Waves: The Destiny of the United States - and You, in which I saw astrologically what has since come about. "Perhaps the deep divide worsens in our nation, and the polarization of the population that we've been seeing steadily splits us into something like a mid-section versus two coasts, almost like a civil war but without weapons. My intuition tells me that it's political."

 

These are dangerous times, and it doesn't help the nation (or the world) to have politicians that are supporting nutsy policies such as shielding criminals in "Sanctuary" cities, or taking funding from a globalist like George Soros who has stated forthrightly that he hates America and wants to see it destroyed. "I've made my life's mission to destroy the United States. I hate this country and I hate all the people in it."- Newsweek, 1979. This is a man who sold out his own people during the Holocaust, and who made his billions selling arms, among other unsavory business practices. As I've mentioned in earlier astrology columns in this newsletter, Soros' horoscope is now under extreme pressure, so we'll see how that plays out. But from what I can see, he is no friend to our nation.

 

Well, when all is said and done, it boils down to the same personal issues that my clients bring to their session: how can I sleep at night? How can I feel more empowered in my life? How can I reduce my anxiety, thus improving my health? How can I exist serenely in the state of the world?

To learn to let go of thought formation; to see (or even better, feel) the tone of the times and yet still surrender into the Higher Plan; to create in your personal life a space of happiness, or at least neutrality; and to find ways that you can serve others - all these are part of the answer.
