Last Week's Collection:

Dear Friends,
It's always great to hear about parishioners who are doing great things in their work. We were proud to see the results of a photo project that Paul Kuppinger initiated at the Early Childhood School of Rochester. Paul has been volunteering there for three years reading to children two or three days a week. The kids love him, and he gets back so much in return. He is truly the 86 year-old "grandfather" of the classroom. This past winter he bought some used cameras, taught the children how to use them, and then loaned them out to the kids. They took them home on weekends and took photos of what interested them. After Paul processed the photos, the children talked about their photographs, and the classroom teacher put them together in a display. So great to hear how Paul keeps on using his talents as a teacher and photographer!
Congratulations to Lori Marra, an English prof and playwright, whose play, Den Mother , was just performed last weekend to four nights of sold-out crowds. The play was awesome! Lori is a co-leader of our marriage prep program.
Congratulations to Dan Krist who was a finalist for the Rochester Business Journal's Financial Executive of the Year award . Dan volunteers for many of our church projects. Way to go, Dan!
Ruth Cowing, one of our two admins, is a co-director of the Reel Mind Film Series about mental illness. The second of four films is Swim Team, a film about three boys with autism who race against the odds in their quest to become champions, in the pool and in life. You can see this film at the Cinema Theatre on May 23 at 7 pm. Thanks for your talent and hard work on this film series, Ruth! To read more about all the films, go to .
This past Saturday morning twenty children received their First Communion . The Mass was beautiful, and the children were inspiring. What a privilege it was to witness their faith. Congratulations to Sawyer Brundage, Ava Vassallo, Kaitryn Guilfoyle, Ethan Kipp, Austin Ocrah, Liam Feeley, Katy Feeley, Josh Passalugo, James Gianvecchio, Karis Hand, Dorothy Leasure, Laura Paulus, Caleb Diedreck, Sophia Baker, Jackson Pagano-Stott, Charlie Geppert,  Dominic Astuto, Aiden Rivera, Isabella Rivera and Ryan Tegg!
