Dear Friends,

Like many of you, I am spending many hours in my garden during the summer watering and caring for the plants. I feel God's presence in the flowers and the weeds and all the life that surrounds them. A few years ago, one of our parishioners received a beautiful message from Mother Mary about caring for the earth. Here it is:

I am here my small flower. I am here my small rose. I am here my tiny bloom among many. I am YOUR HOLY Mother, and I am always here. I am here today to offer you these thoughts to consider...  Make yourself open to my words as I communicate with you today. I am saddened by the many people who do not care for our planet, and I am asking that you please be personally responsible for your own use of chemicals that will harm our earth. Do not put into the water, or ground, chemicals that will harm our earth. We, as your Mother and Father ask that you refrain from using chemicals that will take from the earth's natural energy and alter its flow. Use only what is natural to our planet's environment. Do not feel sad for at times having not done this, as we are careful to not scold. However, we are also needing to mention the ground and the grass and all the many toxins that many people spray and place in their gardens that harm our planet's energy, and we must begin, each and every one of my children, to become aware of the products that contaminate our land. I offer these words to you and ask that you please consider them as you work in your garden-as you tend to your earthly garden, you tend to mine. As you promote the health and growth of your roses you promote and care for mine, they are all the same and they are all connected through my love and light. I am asking that you please read about the use of harmful chemicals and the effects on the earth and how they choke our planet from lasting health. I as your Holy Mother am asking that you please keep open to my words.

We are continuing to pray that the immigrants from Central America who were seeking asylum at our southern border will be quickly reunited with their children. One of the committees that formed two weeks ago is working on sending supplies to the families and has found a Catholic Charities agency in the Rio Grande in need of our support. If you are interested in sending One Box at a Time of supplies needed by immigrant families, please send me an email and I will put you on our One Box at a Time list. Terry Werth is leading this effort -- thanks Terry!

This week we had many loved ones die. We send our love to Marge Ricotta and her family on the death of her mother, Louise. Our condolences go to Connie (Dave) Craig on the death of her mother. We give our love to Karen (Tom Moore) Keenan on the death of her mother, Anne. And we send our love to Kathie Quinlan and all of her family on the death of her husband, Bill.

Enjoy a walk outside this week. If you are an early riser, you can join our Mother Earth Community at
5:20 am at Charlotte Beach on Saturday, July 14. Find more details further on in this bulletin.

This comes with love,

Rev. Mary

SPARC: Since the Race Convoy in April 2017, the SPARC committee has been working diligently to deliver two very important initiatives: the  Black Community Focus Fund and the first  Rochester Civil Rights Park. We have met with the Mayor and other city officials, and the Civil Rights Park is going to be placed within the existing Baden Park.

We are now in the midst of preparing a Party in the Park to be held on September 8, 2018 to celebrate the concept and to fundraise for the effort. It's a huge undertaking and we need your help. You have shown an interest in SPARC in the past, so we're knocking on your door and asking you to
help us put this Party together by contacting one of the following:
